“There is no tool for development more effective than the empowerment of women.” – Kofi Annan
Violence against women is one of the most widespread, persistent and devastating human rights violations in our world. In order to acknowledge the role of women in our society and also to give prominence to their existence, violence against their identity should be brought to a halt. With this thought, a special assembly was organized at Presidium Raj Nagar for the students of grade 6-9 to discuss about the need and importance of women empowerment. The event commenced with the school prayer and thought of the day followed by a skit on empowerment of women. The assembly ended up with a Vote of Thanks by the VP Academics Ms. Shradha Agarwal.
