Since the chilling air of winter has changed into soothing cold breeze, here comes the spring season known as Basant or Vasant. Our little Presidians celebrated this festival of Basant Panchami with great zeal. The celebrations commenced with the Saraswati Vandana, invoking the blessings of Goddess Saraswati for seeking knowledge and a prosperous life. This was followed by a group dance. On this auspicious occasion, all the students and teachers were dressed in yellow-colored attires. Students were informed about the importance of this festival and the relevance of yellow color and savored yellow food and sweets.
