"The only way to learn Mathematics is to do Mathematics" – Paul Halmos
Presidium always believes that Experiential Learning is the best way to learn and grow; therefore, it strongly emphasizes and encourages the use of tools and techniques to implement it. To enhance creative and critical thinking among students and build up problem-solving skills by observing mathematics in our daily life, an activity related to verification of 'The sum of the interior angles of a quadrilateral is 360 degrees' was conducted in Grade 8. Learning is long-lasting if it is strengthened through the application of the same in play way method. Therefore, the students were encouraged to showcase their creativity by using Colourful Origami sheets, glaze papers, etc., in verifying the identity. The activity aimed at improving the creative thinking skills of the students along with the refinement of their motor and problem-solving skills. Students gained hands-on experiences by performing this activity, thus eliminating the fear of Mathematics.
