The Quit India Movement was launched at the Bombay session of the All India Congress Committee by Mahatma Gandhi on 8 August 1942, during World War II, demanding an end to British Rule in India. Presidium conducted a special assembly to celebrate the 79th anniversary of the Quit India Movement where students delivered their speeches for our brave freedom fighters. This was followed by two presentations where one was a documentary on the Quit India Movement, and the other was on the evolution of India before and after Quit India Movement. Students paid homage to our freedom fighters by lighting the candles and remembering their contribution to the freedom struggle.
