An activity on ‘Good Touch, Bad Touch’ was recently organized for Primary Students at Presidium, Raj Nagar. It was conducted to support the cause of creating awareness on child safety. All the students of grade Nursery-Prep participated in the activity that was held over different sessions. Every child needs to be taught that their body belongs to them and they have a right to protect it with this in mind, teachers taught the children how to identify the ‘No Touch’ areas. Also to understand who ‘Safe Adults’ are, a ‘Safe Circle’ activity was conducted wherein the students pasted the pictures of their parents and guardians. The activity also highlighted how to handle a bad touch by shouting and running away from the person and informing a safe adult about the same and how to clearly communicate with parents about any bad experience was explained through dramatization. Under the guidance of the teachers, the students were also shown a PPT presentation and some videos, so that they could understand the difference between good and bad touch. With this session, children will now be able to recognize and protect themselves against such dangers from an early age.
