Presidium Raj Nagar celebrated Buddha Purnima on 18th May. Through the celebration we imparted that the festival of Buddha Purnima is traditionally celebrated to commemorate the birth of Siddhartha
Gautama, who later became Gautama Buddha and went on to become the founder of Buddhism.
The celebration began with the reverberating sound of the morning prayer followed by a song which motivated each and every child to be optimistic. Students were shown the acts showcasing how this day celebrates Siddhartha’s choice to embrace a spiritual quest wherein he renounced all worldly pleasures to become a holy man. They also represented a Dance-Drama in front of everyone which was followed by the Teachings of Lord Buddha. The celebration ended with the chanting of the Divine Mantra “Buddham-Sharnam-Gachchami”.
