To enrich the vocabulary, pronunciation, and understanding of words, an Intra-Class Spellathon Competition was recently conducted at Presidium. Featuring multiple rounds like - spell bee, word hunt, unjumble the jumbled, and who am I, it was a fun-filled contest. The students were asked to spell words taken from their curriculum book and day-to-day life. The judges were also abuzz with excitement, cheering for students. The participants took part in the competition enthusiastically. They got exposure to a world of new words and won accolades for their brilliant performances.

Presidium celebrated the birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji with great zeal and enthusiasm. A special assembly was conducted to mark the birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. The students marked the Parkash Utsav with various activities. They also shared useful information relating to the life and teachings of Guru Nanak Dev besides singing Shabads and holy hymns. Students came dressed in traditional Sikh attire. The assembly started by paying floral tribute to Guru Nanak Dev followed by information related to his life and teachings.

To enhance the understanding and construct sentences using the prepositions, a Preposition Activity was conducted at Presidium. In this activity, they had to combine prepositions of position with household objects. The students were asked to put the object in different positions with the help of glass and object. They enjoyed the session because they found this activity very compelling. They were able to distinguish prepositions of time and place from each other and also recognize prepositional phrases and state that they were composed of prepositions and their objects. They understood the concept because they learned with the help of learning by doing.

Presidians celebrated Children’s day with great festive fervour, to commemorate the birth anniversary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, who was extremely fond of children. The children’s day program had a series of interesting and exciting events, all planned meticulously for complete entertainment. The program began with a special assembly conducted by the teachers, followed by an informative and inspirational speech by the teachers about the great leader, thinker, visionary, and true statesman – Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. To make the day more special and entertaining, the school also celebrated ‘Fancy Dress Day.’ With such a vast arena of cultural events and fun-filled activities, it has proved to be a memorable day for the students.

To enhance the knowledge and creativity, students of Presidium, along with teachers performed various activities on the concept of Properties of Water. It was a very informative and learning experience. The activity included information about the shape of water, taste, and color of the water. They also discussed that water is one of the most precious resources on Earth and is necessary for all living beings. Students understood that the major part of our planet’s surface is covered with water which we have to use judiciously.

The bond between siblings is one like no other. In India, the celebration of love between brothers and sisters is a very special one – first with Raksha Bandhan earlier in the year, and then with Bhai Dooj. It celebrates the loving bond between brothers and sisters. Students of Presidium celebrated this festival of bond with great zeal. The little ones dressed up in colourful traditional attire to get the festive look made beautiful cards for their siblings and many more. Students were made aware of the significance of this festival and celebrated it with full enthusiasm across India.
