18-10-2021

“Your personal boundaries protect the inner core of your identity and your right to choices.”- Gerard Hopkins

Setting boundaries is an important part of establishing one’s identity and is a crucial aspect of mental health and well-being. Boundaries can be physical or emotional, and they can range from being loose to rigid, with healthy boundaries often falling somewhere in between. The students of Presidium performed an enlightening activity in the class over the setting of personal boundaries by introspecting the power position of people in their ecology. The activity revolved around the idea of imagination on a dining table of power positions where the scholar chooses a seat for themselves and other seats for people around them. Lately redrawing the boundaries after self-introspection. The activity resulted in establishing the fact that setting healthy boundaries will have many benefits, including helping us make decisions based on what is best for us, not just the people around us. This made students realize that autonomy is an important part of self-care.
