Onam is the most popular festival in the state of Kerala. This ancient festival has been celebrated for ages in the loving memory of King Mahabali. King Mahabali is known for his generosity and bringing prosperity. It is believed that King Mahabali comes on this day to bless people with happiness and prosperity. The day is also a harvest festival of Kerala. People of all religions, castes, and communities celebrate the festival with equal joy and verve. Students of Presidium intricately made Onam cards which indeed brought in the festive look of Onam, the breathtaking Snake boat and Kathakali figurehead drawings are some of the most remarkable features of Onam celebrations.

“Public speaking is the art of diluting a two - minute idea with a two-hour vocabulary.” To imbibe a true spirit of learning and competition amongst our young Presidians, an ‘Inter-Class Extempore Competition’ was organized for grade 9 &10. The students were given varied topics related to current affairs. The participants conquered the stage with their marvelous oratory skills and bedazzled the audience with their out of the box, thinking about various issues. Everybody appreciated the efforts put in by the students, and the participants were awarded certificates. The event proved that ‘What we say is important, for in most cases the mouth speaks what the heart is full of.’

Spelling Game Competitions like Crosswords, spellex are held to improve and enhance students' pronunciation and vocabulary. In line with this view, Presidium organized a Spellathon Competition. The core objective was to inculcate in the students the skill and the desire to spell words, even the challenging ones, with precision and confidence. All the participants showcased the spirit to be a winner through their hard work and passion for learning new words with difficult spellings.

Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated as the birthday of Lord Ganesha, the son of Lord Shiva and Maa Parvati. The festival is also known as Vinayaka Chaturthi or Ganeshotsav. The students of Presidium celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi with great pomp and gaiety. Students crafted and painted beautiful images of Ganpati. Lokmanya Tilak was the architect of this mass celebration. It was his effort to foster the spirit of nationalism by bringing communities together on the occasion of the Ganesh festival during the struggle for independence.

"Language shapes the way we think, and determines what we can think about." With this vision, we look forward to educating, brightening, and enlightening our brilliant young linguists. Recently our budding learners participated in Third language activities with great zest and zeal. To understand adjectives and position of adjectives, French students tremendously portrayed their favourite person using different adjectives. German students exhibited their creativity by making the model of an Analog clock and elucidating official time in German with its help. Sanskrit students illustrated Kamal Shabd Roop on ravishing lotuses, which plays a crucial role in translating Hindi to Sanskrit. The activities were indeed fruitful and impactful, wherein the students got an opportunity to unleash their creativity with effective learning.

Students of Presidium celebrated Akshay Urja Diwas to promote the use of renewable energy for the cause of saving the environment. Akshay Urja Diwas serves to educate and mobilize people across the country for environmental protection, to inspire action on personal, community, national, and international levels. Through voluntary action, each of us can join in building a productive land in harmony with nature. Our students designed various renewable energy models to create awareness about the development of renewable energy in our country, and the most significant advantage of renewable energy is that in today's time, it may prove to be the best option to improve the global warming we are facing for which many countries of the world are striving today.
