Community helpers are people that directly impact the lives of others. Presidium Raj Nagar recently organized a Role Play activity on the community helpers - ‘Work Around Us’ for the students of grade 3. The young Presidians dressed up as community helpers and performed brilliantly in the characters they portrayed. They learned about the tools used by different workmen and also spoke a few lines about the world of the community helper they portrayed. The activity made them familiar and comfortable around the people that make our neighbourhood a better place. It was an exciting activity where students showcased their lingual talent with confidence while imbibe respect for all professions.

Eid-Ul-Adha, the festival of sacrifice and devotion to Almighty, was celebrated at Presidium Raj Nagar with zeal and vigour. The celebrations began with a brief introduction highlighting the cultural and social importance of the festival of Eid. It was followed by an energetic dance performance. There was an aura of pleasant harmony which completely captivated the audience. The assembly was concluded with the students wishing ‘Eid Mubarak’ to all. It was a visual bliss to watch the students perform confidently and their efforts to cherish the traditions of India were pleasantly evident.

The one thing that affects people all over the globe is Information Technology. One such impact of Information Technology is Desktop Publishing Softwares, an easier and reliable option to create advertisements, cards, posters and other publications. Presidium Raj Nagar recently organized an activity - ‘Make a Publication’ to hone the IT skills of the students. The Presidians of grade 5 created greeting cards using MS Publisher. They applied their knowledge gained in the classroom combined with imagination and creativity to create wonderful publications.

ENHANCING GERMAN VOCABULARY OF PRESIDIANS THROUGH ROLE PLAY

‘Action speaks louder than words’ and when you combine both you get a vital learning tool, Role Play. It allows students to explore day-to-day situations by interacting with their peers. To make it even more interesting, the theme and dialogues of the recently conducted role play activity at Presidium Raj Nagar, were in German. Students of grade 6 dressed up in relevant attires and enacted their characters enthusiastically. They enhanced their vocabulary and learned about the grammatical structures of the German language. It was a new and learning experience for the Presidians.

PRESIDIANS HAIL THE LAND OF THE BRAVE ON INDEPENDENCE DAY

The 72nd Independence Day of India was celebrated at Presidium Raj Nagar with a great deal of patriotic zeal and fervour. The event began with the Welcome of the Chief Guest, Shri Akash Tomar, the Superintendent of Police City Ghaziabad. It was soon followed by the release of tricolour balloons fluttering in the air by the guests. The entire school courtyard reverberated with the rhythmic beats of patriotic songs. In the sequel, a speech was delivered by a student of Grade 8 on the glory of the Independence day. A blend of dance and drama that depicted the massacre of Jalianwala Bagh, was also performed by the young Presidians. The programme left everyone inspired to do their bit for the nation and always uphold its values.

FOOD FAIR PROVIDES PRESIDIANS A RICH CULTURAL EXPERIENCE

Culinary diversity is one of India’s greatest treasures. Each region has its own flavour and distinctive traditional delicacies to offer. Under the theme Food, the students of grade 3 recently organised a Food Fair in the school premise wherein they brought traditional home made dishes. They put up food stalls with a variety of foods which are famous in states like Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Punjab and Bihar. They garnished their food using fascinating ideas which also helped them display their creativity. The students were dressed up in traditional attire of region they were representing. It was a wonderful learning experience for the Presidians as they tasted each state’s delicacies and spoke in the folk language of their respective states. They also explored the rich culture and heritage of India in a fun way.

Students at Presidium Raj Nagar cherished the bonds of friendship by celebrating the occasion of Friendship Day which gave them the opportunity to get engulfed in the feelings of love and togetherness. The bonds of friendship that blossom during school days always stay close to the heart. The Presidians tied friendship bands on the wrists of their friends to express their warmth and love for them. They looked absolutely adorable as they embraced the journey of the most beautiful relationship in the world- 'Friendship'. The celebration was indeed a great initiative to hone the interpersonal and social skills of the young ones.

Excellence is the demonstrated ability to perform, achieve, and excel in scholastic activities. Yet again, by achieving high grades and showcasing superior performance in the academic session 2018, our Presidians have proved that if they set their eyes on a goal, they will leave no stone unturned to achieve it. In an effort to recognize their perseverance and hard work, a time-honored academic tradition, the ‘Academic Excellence Awards’ was recently celebrated by Presidium Raj Nagar, wherein meritorious students were acknowledged for their academic prowess. Our honorable chairperson Mrs. Sudha Gupta graced the ceremony and added colours to it as she felicitated our achievers with momentos and certificates for overall & subject excellence and perfect attendance. This ceremony also proved that academic excellence is more than just getting good grades, it is the maximum development of
intellectual capacities and skills in service to humanity. The students proudly accepted their recognition and expressed gratitude to their parents and teachers for always being a pillar of support for them while they climbed the stairs to success.

Presidium aims at the overall development of the students’ personality by encouraging them to explore, identify and hone their innate skills and talents. Throwing light on the leadership skills of our Presidians, we recently conducted the Investiture ceremony which marked the formation of the student council. The event was graced by the presence of our honourable Chairperson Mrs.Sudha Gupta who bestowed the students with titles such as the head girl, head boy, sports captain, etc. Being an epitome of perfect leadership herself, she entrusted the students with the power to uphold the values and principles of the school with honesty and determination. With their head held high and hearts filled with gratitude, the students thanked the school for giving them this lifetime opportunity.

PRESIDIANS POUR THEIR HEARTS OUT IN 'ART FROM HEART' COMPETITION

‘The art of communication is the language of leadership.’
To spread the brightness of colours in the lives of the young toddlers, an ‘Intra Class Colouring Competition’ was conducted for grades nursery and prep. Our young Presidians poured their hearts in the - ‘Art from Heart’ colouring competition. They got different worksheets of aquarium and scenery in which they displayed their aesthetic skills. The young ones enjoyed the activity where they were able to showcase their imagination, make a choice of colours and exhibit their creativity. It was a pleasure to watch these little artists working with such ease with colours and crafting. Each of these drawings were done so beautifully and diligently by the Presidians that it was a treat to the eyes. The positive responses from everyone rendered the event a complete success.
