To generate positive statements and thoughts as a mantra to a successful life, the teachers of Presidium Raj Nagar recently organised a 'mirror activity', wherein the students imitated the expressions and gestures of their teachers. The students were taught that our subconscious mind is very susceptible to the things we say out loud. Using this strategy, we can become an individual with a strong character and self-esteem. The activity proved to be fruitful in boosting the confidence and concentration of the students. It also fostered the balance, coordination and gross motor skills of the young Presidians!

Presidium Raj Nagar strongly emphasizes on experiential learning and encourages the use of tools and techniques to implement it. Keeping the same view in mind and in order to promote the use of innovative ways for developing number sense, mathematical concepts and reasoning, a 'maths activity' was recently organised for our grade 3 students. The young Presidians used Dienes Block to solve a division problem, which promoted critical thinking, problem solving and analytical skills. The fun-filled and knowledgeable activity was thoroughly enjoyed by the students as it eliminated the fear of mathematics from their hearts.

The blissful festival of Baisakhi was recently celebrated with a special assembly with great zeal at Presidium, Raj Nagar. The day commenced with a thoughtful speech, highlighting the importance of the day in the Indian culture. It was followed by a captivating dance performance by our cute tiny tots. To keep the budding Presidians electrified and to keep the fun alive in classrooms, welcome activities were recently conducted for our students of grades 1 to 3 at Presidium, Raj Nagar. Bringing out the talents and competencies of the young Presidians, the fun-filled activities receive proactive participation. It was a wonderful opportunity for the teachers to know all their Picasso, Einstein and Shakespeare, so that they can provide them wings to achieve their dreams in future. To mark the culmination of yet another fruitful session, our batch of outgoing students wrote thoughtful messages for their teachers and discussed the memories of the times spent together. Relishing smiles of joy and tears of separation, the students spent their last working day by creating photo frames and writing messages for their teachers. The famous proverb was apparently seen true when the young toddlers of Presidium Raj Nagar celebrated their farewell party as the session came to a reminiscent end. Decked up in the graduation day attire, the students and teachers took a trip past the memory lane as they recalled the myriad hues of life they had experienced throughout the session. All geared up to enter a new phase in their lives, the students had a gala time in the party.

ROLE PLAY COMPETITION UNLEASHES THE ACTING SKILLS OF PRESIDIANS

Drama & role play is a very valuable tool for exploring issues, making learning memorable, encouraging cooperation and showcasing skills. The ‘Ring Side View Academy’ recently organised an Inter Class Role Play Competition for grade-3 students to explore their hidden talent in the field of theatre. The objective of this competition was not only to blend learning with fun but also to develop confidence in the little ones.The excitement of our young actors knew no bounds as they waited eagerly for their turn to perform. Resplendent in their costumes and glowing in all their finery, they emulated the renowned personalities and their role models with confidence and passion. It proved to be a great learning experience for the little ones to showcase their potentials.

TELEPHONE BOOTH ACTIVITY:PRESIDIANS LEARN CONVERSATION ETIQUETTES

Children are ready to learn language the day they are born!
Communication skills are essential for a successful career, to impart which in our students, a Telephone Booth Activity was recently organized at Presidium, Raj Nagar. The classrooms were allocated an artificial telephone booth, in which each student had to go and imitate that he/she has dialled their parents' number. The students were supposed to learn at least one phone number, either of mother or father's. Teaching some basic dialogues to the Presidians which can be used to converse over the phone, this fun-filled activity also groomed them by inculcating the etiquette of starting a conversation on a call.

HOLI BINDS PRESIDIANS TOGETHER IN AN UNCONDITIONAL BOND OF LOVE

Holi is a time to reach out with the colours of joy. It is the time to love and forgive. It is the time to express the happiness of being loved and to be loved through colours.
By keeping the theme of 'unity in diversity' in mind, Presidium Raj Nagar recently organised a special assembly where our students were seen displaying their innate talents and abilities. Not only did this exposure allowed them to embrace diversity, but also showed them how festivals bind the Indians together in an unconditional bond of love. The event got even more exciting when the toddlers from grades nursery and prep grooved to the enthralling songs of festival. In the sequel, Presidians recited poems related to Holi. The event culminated with a very special note to all the students and teachers that, 'nature has always loved us and now it’s time for us to love it back, play safe Holi and love nature'.
