Speech has the power to change the world and a good speaker is always able to captivate the audience with words.
Reflecting upon this idea, our budding orators from Presidium, Rajnagar geared up for the Inter-class Declamation competition organised by 'The Story Tellers Academy'.
All the participants exhibited their exceptional oratory skills, accent fluency in their speeches and put in best of their efforts. It was incredible to see young students speaking on issues like global terrorism, racial discrimination, life in the urban jungle, information technology and many other critical topics.
Organising such competitions at school broadens the horizons of intellect and critical thinking in students and highlights the true meaning of Declamation, that is- diction and eloquence.

PRESIDIANS EXHIBIT THE ART OF SELF-EXPRESSION AT POEM RECITATION

"Poetry comes alive through recitation."
At Presidium, we believe that every student is gifted and should be given an opportunity to showcase his/her hidden talent and prowess. With the same belief, the Storytellers, Academy for Mass Communication, organised a 'Rhymes and Chimes' -an Intra-class Recitation competition for Grade Nursery and Prep, to enrich and enable the three skills of diction, speech and memory, at Presidium Raj Nagar.
At the event, our young students actively participated in the competition and recited various English Rhymes and poems with the help of different colourful props on each. Their performances were truly appreciated by one and all as our students exhibited unmatched confidence and poise on stage.

CELEBRATING THE PIOUS OCCASION OF BUDDHA PURNIMA AT PRESIDIUM

He seated himself beneath the Bodhi Tree in the meditation posture and vowed not to rise from meditation until he had attained perfect enlightenment. He, was Gautama Buddha!
To commemorate the birth and enlightenment of Gautam Buddha , students of Presidium Raj Nagar celebrated Buddha Purnima with utmost veneration and sanctity. The students presented the famous - 'Buddham Sharanam Gacchami" mantra and a skit based on the life of Buddha. The performances mesmerized the audience and gave a glimpse of the life of a Prince who chose the path of wisdom and enlightenment over worldly desires. The students felt motivated to follow and practice the preaching of Lord Buddha in their life.

Presidium aims at the holistic development of a child. To instill the spirit of sportsmanship, students of Presidium Raj Nagar got an opportunity to participate in the Inter Presidium Badminton Tournament 2017. The students exhibited their determination backed with an amazing competitive spirit throughout the 3 days of the tournament. The commendable efforts made by students helped them pave way to qualify for the semi-finals. The students had a great learning experience which is going to help them soar new heights in the future sport events.

Dance is a form of expression that echoes through the body, mind and soul!
World Dance Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Presidium Rajnagar. Students got a wonderful opportunity to witness the captivating Odissi performance by the eminent dancer, Smt. Ranjana Gauhar. With her mesmerising and enthralling dance moves, she stole the hearts of young Presidians. She also enlightened them on the most diversified dance forms of our culture.
The celebration proved to be a learning experience for students as they gained an insight on the wonders and marvels of Indian culture which celebrates art in all of its forms.

EARTH DAY: PRESIDIANS ON THEIR MISSION TO SAVE MOTHER EARTH

The earth is what we all have in common. We do not inherit the earth from our ancestors we borrow it from our children.
With this belief, Earth Day was celebrated at Presidium Raj Nagar to sensitize the students and spread awareness about environmental protection. Presidians planted saplings to make our Mother Earth a better place to live in. The students enjoyed the activity where they took their first step towards saving the planet and also pledged to preserve Mother Earth.

The Investiture Ceremony for the session 2017-2018 was observed where young Presidians took their first step towards leadership by being acknowledged as the profound members of the Junior Student Council. Honourable Chairperson of Presidium, Mrs. Sudha Gupta, bestowed the student council members and inspired them to reach the pinnacle of success. Parents of the Student Council members were invited as the special guests for the day. They felt proud and were delighted to witness the coronation of their wards as one of the worthy members of Student Council.
