An activity was conducted with the help of presentation, debate, and storytelling methods. The objective of this activity was to comprehend the text from all points of view- Religious, Literature, Art, and Architectural. It gave an overview to students of Jainism and Buddhism, their teachings, and the effect of the teachings on society. A message of peace was conveyed to students during the activity.

THE BEST WAY TO LEARN MATHEMATICS IS TO DO MATHEMATICS

Presidium strongly emphasizes experiential learning and encourages the use of tools and techniques to implement it. Keeping the same view in mind and to promote the use of innovative ways of understanding the mathematical concepts of Percentage and its relationship with Decimals and Fractions, Presidium organized a Maths Activity for students of grade 5. The activity aimed to promote critical thinking and problem-solving in the classroom with the help of sheets and colours, making the Dienes Block pictures of hundredths. Students thoroughly enjoyed the activity as it fostered their analytical skills and application of Percentage and its relationship with Fractions and Decimals. Students felt that learning through this approach was quite a pleasant experience and felt confident about the subject, thus eliminating the fear of mathematics.

ENGLISH ACTIVITY: SENTENCES ARE ROOT OF ENGLISH LANGUAGE

Jumble sentences are a must for students to learn English better. They are usually known as rearranging words, sentences, jumbled words, and word order exercise. A sentence making activity was held in Presidium, wherein students of grade 2 enjoyed learning with the help of flashcards. This activity enhanced their vocabulary while making sentences. We all know that India is the land of multicultural and secular people, here we celebrate the strength of the people who guard using various ways and in different parts of the country. The celebration of Navy and Aviation indicates the victory of India all over the world. Hence to intrigue the student in diversity of our national special forces, Presidium catalogued a special assembly on Navy Day. Students of grade 3 danced enthusiastically. The students of grade 2 pulled off the celebration with a speech on the special occasion. It provided an opportunity to the young Presidians to have a positive take on the national armed forces guarding us.

PRESIDIUM CELEBRATES ANNUAL SPORTS DAY WITH ARDOUR AND ZEAL

The Annual Sports Day of Presidium was celebrated with a great deal of ardour and zeal. The day began with the welcome of the Chairperson of Presidium, Mrs. Sudha Gupta followed by the oath-taking ceremony as the Sports Captain lit the symbolic torch to signify the glory of the sports event. A troop of Presidians marched their way with pride during the march past. Students displayed spectacular dance drills based on various dance forms of various states of India showcasing the cultural diversity of the nation. The winners were acknowledged by the Chairperson with medals and trophies.

Success is where preparation meets opportunity. At Presidium, we believe in providing ample opportunities to the young ones so that their abilities are nurtured and highlighted. Prodigies of Presidium Raj Nagar participated in the 31st Delhi State Sub- Junior Taekwondo Championship. The Students exhibited extraordinary determination and courage to emerge victorious in the various levels of the game. The event provided a much needed exposure to the students and a platform to showcase their innate skills.

HEALTH WORKSHOP DELIVERS A STRONG MESSAGE TO LEAD HEALTHY LIVING

A health workshop was organized in Presidium for students to spread awareness about the adverse effects of junk and packaged foods. Students were explained about how artificial flavouring substances and strong preservatives constitute a significant part of ingredients in all packaged foods to increase their shelf life. The students were motivated to avoid junk food and live a healthy lifestyle. The workshop ended delivering an important message that “the food we eat can either be the safest and most powerful form of medicine or the slowest form of poison.”

National Education Day of India is celebrated on 11 November every year in India to commemorate the birth anniversary of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad. With an aim to keep up with this spirit of Education Day, Presidium celebrated this day with grandeur and solemnity. The celebrations began with a zestful participation of students of grades 1-3 in a special assembly wherein they presented their talent on the stage. They presented speech on education day and highlighted its importance through various performances. This motivated the young leaders of tomorrow to keep up with the spirit of the education and take themselves to the path of success and prosperity with their hard work and perseverance.
